On September 29 – October 3. local government and youth from Villars-sur-Glane held a study visit to the Municipality of Zagorz which is the final touch of the project entitled. “ACADEMY OF DEMOCRACY AND DEVELOPMENT” which has received more than 320 000 zł grant from the Swiss Partnership Fund Block Grant.

On 26 – 30 of May 2013, a delegation of Municipality of Zagórz took place in a study visit in Municipality Villars–sur–Glane, Hardworking and productive stay at Swiss partners was the next stage of the project “Academy of Democracy and Development” – shaping of local active civil society and the mutual transfer of knowledge and abilities in solving basic problems of local communities, based on the experience of local governments of Zagórz (Poland) and Villars–sur–Glane (Switzerland).

On 29-30 January 2013, a delegation from the Zagórz Municipality visited the partner municipality Villars-sur-Glâne in Switzerland. The visit was the next stage of the “ACADEMY OF DEMOCRACY AND DEVELOPMENT – development of an active local civil society and the mutual transfer of knowledge and skills in solving basic problems of local communities based on local experience of Zagorz (Poland) and Villars-sur-Glâne (Switzerland).”
Another issue of “Nad Osławą” magazine was published. Publishing of the newspaper, whose debut took place in December 2011, was resumed in September this year as part of the “ACADEMY OF DEMOCRACY AND DEVELOPMENT” co-financed by the Swiss Partnership Fund Block Grant.

On 23 – 25 November in the conference – recreation resort “Natura Park” in Stężnica near Baligród held a training for local community leaders. During the three-day course organized under the “Academy for Democracy and Development” programme a group of 50 participants raised their competence in the field of theoretical and practical aspects of the functioning of local governments.
