Between 1 – 3 June in the conference and leisure centre “Chutor Kozacki”, located in Łukowe a citizens journalism and social communication workshop were held. A group of 15 beneficiaries (including leaders of Youth Council of Municipality Zagórz) learned the ins and outs of journalism under the guidance of experienced journalists. Workshop were conducted by Dorota Mękarska – journalist of the daily newspaper “Nowiny” the most frequently read and most influential journal in Podkarpacie and Michał Bąk – cameraman and editor of the Internet portal “Esanok.pl”[nggallery id=1]
Selecting of the “Chutor Kozacki” as a place for the workshop was not accidental. The property was built with financial support of EU founds is becoming a intercultural dialogue centre and Polish – Ukrainian reconciliation. Participants of the workshop were inspired by multinational history and current social structure of Switzerland went in search for traces of multiculturalism in the Bieszczady in the deserted after Second World War village Choceń.
