Passed the exam – received certificates!

On Tuesday, November 6 at. 17.00, in the hotel “Nad Osława”  was a summary of the 6 – month English language course organized by government of Zagórz with help of the Swiss municipality of Villars-sur-Glane. English course was organized as one of the tasks of the project “Academy for Democracy and Development”.

One of the major activities of the project realized thanks to a grant in the amount of nearly 324 000 zł which government of Zagórz received from Swiss Partnership Found Block Grant was the 6-month English course. It was attended by 50 participants including local community leaders, which included, among others: councilors, members of district councils, municipal office workers and members of the Youth Local Council in Zagórz.

After intense learning and exams passed it was time for the official summary, which in addition to: the vast majority of students, teachers, representatives of the school of languages ​​Edukacja Plus s.c. from Lublin (the company that supported the course) and also Jan Różycki Chairman of the Council of Municipality of Zagórz and also Mayor of Zagórz Ernest Nowak. Ernest Nowak occurred in a dual role – as host of the municipality, and as an active participant in class. All beneficiaries of the course received practical and commemorative gadgets in the form of cups and USB memory with the logo of Swiss Partnership Found Block Grant.

The culmination of the official part of the ceremony was symbolic snack during which you can hear free conversations in English. Not without a commemorative photograph. Here, the true star of the evening was Mariusz Hodyr – native speaker, who by his extraordinary approach to learning the English language and the great cordiality earned sympathy and appreciation among the students.

English as the universal code in international relations – is widely used also in Switzerland. A practical test of the level of language skills acquired will be meeting with Swiss partners during the study visits planned in the framework of the “Academy for Democracy and Development.” The Polish delegation will host in Villars-sur-Glâne in the first quarter of 2013. However, the Swiss visit Zagorz in the second quarter of next year.
